Our product is work hours.
Everything else you see here is a byproduct.

We exist to create paid hours of skilled work for cane artisans in Mumbai. Not to sell you furniture — though we do that too, because somebody has to pay for the hours. Every product here exists because it took someone's time to make. We think that time should be valued, visible, and fairly paid.

Tiny Cane Collective is an attempt at building a social business that stays social by revealing everything about itself.

Most businesses hide their numbers. We publish ours. Most brands tell you they care. We show you exactly how much down to the rupee, the hour, the wage.

The Tiny Cane Collective was built on one uncomfortable belief: that a social business only earns the word social if it's willing to be seen. Fully. Not just the feel-good parts — but the margins, the mistakes, the math behind every decision. We're not here to look good. We're here to be accountable to our artisans, to our customers, and to the idea that business can be done differently.

Upcane

Your old furniture. Their skilled hands.

The world doesn't need more furniture. It needs more reasons to keep what it already has. Upcane takes the things you were ready to discard and hands them to artisans who weave them back to life — one careful hour at a time. The craft is cane. The product is skill. The point is people.

We take furniture you already own — or were about to throw out — and our artisans weave it into something worth keeping. No new products. Just new hours of skilled work.

Debut Collection

The bhelpuri stand has been made by the women of Mumbai's Pardeshi community for generations. We took that structure and tried to turn it into a furniture line. It's beautiful. We just couldn't sell it. This is where it all started — and where we learned what we were actually about.

Bombay Bhel

Our first collection. Our first lesson.

We designed it. Our artisans made it beautifully. We didn't sell enough of it. These pieces come with the same transparency certificates we made back when we thought the world was ready for radically transparent premium furniture. Turns out the world wasn't. The furniture is still beautiful though — and now it's priced like we're trying to clear a lesson, not protect a margin.
